Corporate Bond Trading

Listed Corporate Bonds:

To trade listed corporate bonds, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Access BSC’s online trading system.

Step 2: View the Corporate Bonds Price Board and select Trade at the top-right corner of the screen to place an order.

Step 3: Fill in the required order details, similar to trading underlying securities.

Step 4: Authenticate the order.

Private Corporate Bonds:

General Regulations:

  • Trading Unit: 1 bond.
  • Minimum Trading Volume: 1 bond.
  • Price Tick Unit: 1 VND.
  • Trading Date (T): The date when private corporate bonds are traded and matched on the stock exchange.
  • Settlement Time: Day T th.
  • Order Modification/Cancellation Rules:
    • Executed Orders: Cannot be modified or canceled.
    • Unexecuted Orders: Can be modified or canceled.

Trading Hours

  • Trading Days: Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays as stipulated by the Labor Code.
  • Trading Sessions:
    • Morning Session: 09:00 AM – 11:30 AM
    • Afternoon Session: 01:00 PM – 02:45 PM

Eligible Participants

When purchasing private corporate bonds, investors must meet the following requirements:

Be classified as professional securities investors.
Sign a confirmation form acknowledging their status as a professional investor before purchasing the bonds.

Trading Method

The trading method for private corporate bonds is negotiated trading, which includes:
  • e- Put-through transaction: In this method, trading members input firm bid or ask orders into the system or select suitable counterparty orders already entered into the system to execute the transaction.
  • Conventional Negotiation: In this method, the buyer and seller negotiate the transaction terms directly beforehand and report the result to the private corporate bond trading system to finalize the transaction.

Trading Process

Step 1: Open a securities trading account and register for private corporate bond trading. Customers can place orders 1 day after completing the registration for private bond trading.

Step 2: Margin Deposit

  • When placing a buy order for private corporate bonds, customers must deposit 100% of the transaction value as margin.
  • When placing a sell order, customers must have the full quantity of bonds available for sale.

Step 3: Sign the relevant trading documents and place the trading order.
