The sideways trend continues

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index gained 4 points today, closing at 1,309.37. Market breadth was fairly balanced, with 12 out of 18 sectors advancing. The Communication sector led the gains, followed by Real Estate and Financial Services. In terms of foreign trading, foreign investors were net sellers on both the HSX and HNX exchanges today. The upward trend of the VN-Index continues to be supported by price stabilization movements from large-cap stocks, as well as sector rotation and shifting capital flows. However, the index still needs to break above the 1,315 level to establish a safe threshold for potential pullbacks, thereby confirming a medium to long-term uptrend and paving the way for new highs in 2025.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -384.36 billion on HOSE, including TPB (VND -262.43 billion), TNH (VND -127.74 billion), FPT (VND -72.90 billion), HAH (VND -52.13 billion), MSN (VND -38.27 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -99.06 billion.
