  • In Oct 1978, the National Publishing State Company was merged with Book Import and Export Company to form Vietnam Book Company.
  • In May 1982, the book import-export activities were separated from the company’s operation.
  • On Dec 1997, Vietnam Books Corporation was re-established on the basic of its former foundation as Vietnam Book Company and the operational model of a corporation under the management of the Ministry of Culture and Information.
  • From 2004-2006, 13 subsidiaries of the corporation was equitized.
  • On Mat 19, 2010, it became an on-member company limited under the state ownership.
  • It officially operated as a joint stock company on Aprl 27, 2016.
  • It was approved to become a public company on June 15, 2016.
