Market outlook  

Stock market: VN-Index struggled around the 1,260 threshold all day today before rebounding at the end of the session and closing at 1,269.98 points, up nearly 9 points compared to yesterday. Market breadth tilted to the positive side with 13/18 sectors increasing, of which the Retail led the increase, followed by Food and Beverage, Financial Services, etc. Regarding foreign transactions, today they net sold on the HSX and net bought on the HNX. The VN-Index's recovery to the 1,280 - 1,300 range is generally supported by cash flow.
 
Futures contracts: Future contracts increase following the movement of VN30. It is recommended that investors trade cautiously during the session.
 
Covered warrants: In the trading session on March 5, 2024, covered warrants fluctuated along with the uptrend of the underlying stocks.

Highlight: 
• VN-Index +8.57 points, closing at 1269.98. HNX-Index -0.03 points, closing at 237.35.
• Pulling the index up: MSN (+1.83), BID (+1.28), MWG (+0.98), GAS (+0.68), CTG (+0.6).
• Pulling the index down: VCB (-0.68), VHM (-0.32), FPT (-0.22), VRE (-0.16), NVL (-0.14).
• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 22174 billion, decreased -14.48% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 24357 billion.
• The trading range is 12.27 points. The market had 258 advancers, 80 reference stocks, 212 decliners.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -102.37 billion on HOSE, including FUEVFVND(-163.01 billion), SSI(-136.02 billion), VHM(-124.87 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 15.23 billion.
