Market outlook  

Stock market: VN-Index dropped right from the opening. When the index touched the support level around 1,030, it bounced up and ended the session at 1,039.56 points, down more than 14 points compared to yesterday. Market breadth skewed to the negative side with 15 out of 19 sectors dropping, of which the biggest decliners were: Basic Resources, Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Retail, etc. Regarding the foreign transactions, today they continued to net sell on the HSX and slightly net buy on the HNX. In the coming sessions, VN-Index is likely to continue fluctuating in the range of 1,030-1,055.
 
Future contracts: Futures contracts decreased with the movement of VN30. It is recommended that investors trade cautiously in the coming sessions.
 
Covered warrants: In the trading session on February 24, 2023, covered warrants fluctuated along with the struggling movement of the underlying stocks.
 
Highlights:
• VN-Index -14.1 points, closing at 1039.56. HNX-Index -1.98 points, closing at 207.32.
• Pulling the index up: HVN (+0.38), GAS (+0.34), SAB (+0.31), VCB (+0.23), DPM (+0.08).
• Pulling the index down: BID (-1.19), VHM (-1.07), HPG (-1), CTG (-0.89), VPB (-0.66).
• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 5,892 billion, decreased -40.49% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 6,536 billion.
• The trading range is 17.83 points. The market had 98 advancers, 56 reference stocks, 311 decliners.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -219.15 billion on HOSE, including VHM (-43.2 billion), VIC (-36.61 billion), DGC (-30.48 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 33.53 billion.
